House on Happy Rock

Whew!

Well, moving weekend came and went and we are slowly but surely settling in to our new house (pictures to come soon).

Thursday night, my brother came over to help move the couch and love seat into the new house so that the movers would have room to move the washer, dryer and TV to the new house on Friday morning. David and I took Friday off to get a jump start on the big move on Saturday. I spent most of the day carrying over small boxes and the dishes from the kitchen. I also manged to get the bedroom painted before any of the furniture was moved in. The bedroom went from green to Gothic Amethyst. I love the color, and can't wait to get all unpacked and settled.

Saturday was a blur! My mom was over bright and early to help start moving. Soon, there were parents, step-parent and siblings hauling boxes and furniture. We honestly couldn't have done it without them! As a "thank you", we are taking everyone out to the Wyoming Rib and Chop House for dinner.

Sunday I spent all day cleaning the old house and unpacking. We were totally exhausted, and I even managed a quick cat nap with the cat. She's adjusting nicely to the new house.

Monday morning, my new kitchen appliances were delivered. I got a GE Adora refrigerator and gas stove.

My dad just installed the stove last night, so I'll be cooking for the first time in weeks. I am so sick of eating out!
Now, I just need to plan a meal!

This weekend, I want to get the majority of the house in order, finish painting the kitchen and bathroom and I need to get some furniture assembled.
